ProQuest Information and Learning has announced several additions to its ProQuest online information service. The new and expanded features and functionality have been developed in response to user interviews and customer feedback. ProQuest Information and Learning, a unit of ProQuest Company, is an electronic publisher of content for libraries and educational institutions worldwide.
New features and functionality just added to the ProQuest interface include: ProQuest Dissertations & Theses (formerly ProQuest Digital Dissertations) has been renamed and moved to the ProQuest platform. It now supports OpenURL and federated searching. A migration information center Web page available from the ProQuest home page is designed to help customers with the transition. Author Profiles from Scholar Universe now link inside ABI/INFORM. The profiles are part of a growing collection of Authority Profile content covering faculty members, published authors, professional researchers, and their organizational affiliations. Improved bar code authentication is intended to make it easier to set-up and authenticate users to access ProQuest databases. Free trials of ProQuest databases are available.
