ProQuest Information and Learning and Information Today, Inc. have announced an agreement to offer original articles and reports from nine Information Today titles directly to individuals via the Information Today Web site. ITI InfoCentral, the new digital archive, offers content from September 1987 to the present on a pay-per-view basis with ProQuest Archiver. ProQuest Archiver provides an ecommerce platform for publishers on the Web to highlight a publication's past, present, and future issues. ProQuest Information and Learning, a unit of ProQuest Company, creates and publishes databases for libraries and educational institutions worldwide.
Titles in the collection include: Information Today, ONLINE, Searcher, Computers in Libraries, EContent, EMedia/EventDV, Multimedia & Internet @ Schools, CRM, and KMWorld. The collection also includes past issues of Link-Up (now incorporated into Information Today). Full-text news reports, articles, interviews, and reviews about the companies, products, and people who comprise the digital content and electronic information services industry are included.
Information Today has now integrated these articles into its search tools and pages at http://pqasb.pqarchiver.com/infotoday/search.html
. Readers may search by date, keyword, headline, or byline; read a free preview of the first paragraph of each article; and purchase the article image. Articles are available for $2.95 each or in packages of 5, 15, or 200 articles. New articles are added as published, usually within six weeks of publication. Articles are available in a variety of formats and readers can choose the format they would like to view by clicking an icon next to the article title; all formats may not be available for each article. Readers may choose to print an article or save it for personal review later. Users have access to the document for 90 days.
