PressApp Launches, Allows Readers to Become Contributors

Feb 22, 2013

The recently launched PressApp is a content management system that connects with a brand's existing mobile apps, letting them communicate with, and receive content from, their mobile communities.

Publishers can use PressApp to request, receive, moderate, and publish video and photo from readers, with approved content automatically published to platforms such as Brightcove, WordPress, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, Flickr, and Tumblr. Successful contributors receive an automated alert to thank them along with its destination link so they can share it with their social networks.

Marketing teams can use PressApp to deliver video previews about upcoming news or product launches direct to consumers' mobile devices, helping drive sales. Geo-fences can also be set up in PressApp, allowing advertising and content to be delivered to users' mobiles when they enter pre-set destinations, such as retail outlets, and events.

PressApp works with mobile apps on all platforms including iOS, Android, Blackberry, Windows and Nokia. Brands without mobile apps can also use PressApp to create them, powered by their existing digital content feeds.
