Playwire Media and Gateway Media Announce Deal

Playwire Media, an online representation firm for reaching gaming and entertainment enthusiasts, announced a partnership with Gateway Media, a St. Louis-based publishing house that owns a portfolio of entertainment and culture websites. Through this deal, Playwire Media will represent all eleven of Gateway Media's publishing brands. This deal is built on an existing relationship between Playwire Media and Gateway Media's CinemaBlend property. As part of the existing engagement, Playwire Media worked in conjunction with Gateway Media to create a custom video strategy to maximize ad impressions and revenue for the site. As a result, the companies say, CinemaBlend now receives 4.9MM video views per month, 5-7 new video uploads per day, and a 345 percent increase in monthly revenue from online video.

Under the new agreement, Playwire will create optimized, multichannel campaigns for current and future Gateway Media publishing brands using all types of high impact custom ad units, as well as work with different properties in developing their digital video initiatives. Gateway Media is comprised of the following brands: CinemaBlend, Suggest, Clip'd, Brainjet, Oola!, Odometer, Minq, Swifty, AroundMe, RateMyJob and YesPets. Gateway Media says its targeted brand portfolio reaches over 100 million monthly unique visitors across a variety of demographics.
