Placeware Signs Agreements to Pursue Elearning and Web Conferencing Opportunities with HP

PlaceWare, Inc., a collaborative Web conferencing company, has announced wide-ranging sales, co-development, and marketing agreements with HP. The agreements focus on serving global enterprise training and communication needs to offer the most extensive and reliable corporate training and web conferencing communication services. The goal is to address the enterprise needs for corporate meetings, conferences, and elearning. Under the agreement, PlaceWare and HP will sell PlaceWare- and HP-branded Virtual Classrooms, a rich, interactive set of Internet-based education services developed by HP's innovative research and development teams based on PlaceWare technologies. HP also will sell the HP-branded version of PlaceWare's Conference Center service to large enterprise customers. Collaborative strategic marketing and development plans for sharing existing intellectual property are intended to allow both companies to actively pursue development and engineering efforts. Also, PlaceWare's access to HP's worldwide professional services capabilities will enhance and strengthen customers' ability to efficiently integrate elearning into their global corporate learning environments.
