PhatWare Corporation, a provider of software products and professional services for mobile and desktop computers, has announced immediate availability of four of its PDA products for Windows Mobile 2003 software for Pocket PCs, Microsoft's newest version of software for Pocket PC devices. These products include CalliGrapher, HPC Notes, PhatSpell, and Pocket dbExplorer. All four products are certified to use the Designed for Microsoft Windows for Pocket PC logo. CalliGrapher is a natural handwriting recognition software that supports all handwriting styles--cursive, print or mixed. In addition to handwriting recognition, CalliGrapher offers PenCommander, a PC navigation tool; ink color selection and customizable ink width; and a "Quick Correct" window for correction as the user writes. HPC Notes is a notes organizer that allows users to create notes, then sort them at any time by type, subject, creation, and modification date. With the synchronization capabilities of HPC Notes, users can update and synchronize notes found in multiple databases; other features include text search, one-click email, and security features. PhatSpell is a multi-lingual spell checking utility optimized for Windows Mobile software for Pocket PCs. PhatSpell, a collection of 10 dictionaries, can be accessed from within most text-based Pocket PC applications, providing spelling accuracy regardless of the job at hand. PhatSpell includes dictionaries for Dutch, English (US and UK), French, German, Italian, Portuguese (European and Brazilian), Spanish, and Swedish. Pocket dbExplorer is a system utility that allows users to browse, view, edit, and manage databases found on Windows Mobile-based Pocket PCs. It also allows backup and restoring of one or more databases and system registry settings to a file, which can be stored on the flash memory card or copied onto the desktop PC.
