Video-based online community Paltalk has bought back all of its remaining shares from investor Softbank Capital Partners, marking the conclusion of the venture capital firm's investment and exit strategy. Paltalk's subscription-based model allowed it to become profitable within months of its 2004 launch, and with 4 million members, has been able to pay back Softbank's $6 million investment in a little over 5 years.
