Ebook subscription service Oyster--sometimes referred to as the Netflix of books--has expanded its availability. Previously, the service was only available on iOS devices, but is now available on Nook HD, Android devices, and Kindle Fire. According to Gigaom, the new Oyster apps also boasts some new features, such as "time to read" which lets you know how much of the book you have left to read, and the ability to turn the page with volume buttons on Android devices.
Oyster offers subscribers access to over 500,000 books from a variety of publishers, including HarperCollins and Simon & Schuster, for $9.95 a month. This latest expansion puts Oyster in the big leagues, making it available on most major e-readers and mobile devices.
