Ovid Technologies, a Wolters Kluwer business and global provider of electronic medical, scientific, and academic information research solutions, has announced the launch of ClinicalResource@Ovid, a new point-of-care tool that gives medical professionals access to peer-reviewed information so that they can make clinical decisions and provide quality patient care.

ClinicalResource@Ovid integrates informational resources, including diagnosis and treatment guidelines provided by Clin-eguide; expert-authored disease monographs from the 5-Minute Consult Database; drug and pharmaceutical information from Facts & Comparisons, including data on natural products; bibliographic data from the National Library of Medicine's MEDLINE database; and patient handouts that address adult, pediatric, senior, and women's health topics. ClinicalResource@Ovid provides Ovid current customers with access to all of their subscribed Ovid book, journal, and EBMR resources. Ovid's search and discovery technology can help the clinical decision-making power of ClinicalResource@Ovid with database, full-text article, and book resources from medical publishers.

Clin-eguide, developed by Wolters Kluwer Health, presents evidence on diagnosis, management, and treatment of high-cost problems occurring in primary care, and inpatient and emergency department settings. Clin-eguide is designed to ensure actionable answers to clinical questions encountered in practice. Key performance improvement indicators are added throughout the information to ensure optimal patient outcomes and adherence to regulatory standards. Available as a site license or on a concurrent user basis, ClinicalResource@Ovid is targeted to information managers and health care professionals at hospitals, treatment facilities, and medical education and research facilities.
