Outsell, Inc. Releases New HotTopics Report

Feb 22, 2005

Outsell, Inc., a research and advisory firm, has released a HotTopics report entitled: Better, Faster, Cheaper - Technical Information at the Engineer's Desktop, in which Outsell Chief Analyst Leigh Watson Healy looks at the changing R&D landscape, how engineers are disrupting the information-delivery status quo, who's supplying the content they use, and how content providers can meet engineers at their point of need. According to the report, engineers increasingly trust their peers more than the open internet as credible and reliable sources of information. More than one dozen companies, including Reed Business Information, IHS, TechStreet, GlobalSpec, and Thomas Publishing are poised to capitalize on this trend, and deliver the types of information engineers use: standards and specifications, engineering drawings, scientific and technical books, technical papers, reference books, and trade publications.
