Oracle Database 10g Express Edition (Oracle Database XE) is a free version of the fully functional Oracle database. The Oracle Database XE is built on the Oracle Database 10g Release 2 and is compatible with the Oracle Database family products including Oracle Standard Edition One, Oracle Standard Edition, and Oracle Enterprise Edition. The Oracle Database XE works on both Linux and Windows operating systems and can be run on dual processor platforms, however it utilizes one processor, 1Gb of RAM, and supports databases as large as 4Gb in size.

All users of the Bitrix Site Manager MySQL edition with active tech support subscription, can move to the Oracle version at the price of 30% of the edition in use. The techsupport subscription period remains unchanged. The techsupport subscription of the Oracle Database XE version of the Bitrix Site Manager can be further renewed at the price currently active for the MySQL versions of the product. The Oracle Database XE users can start with the Oracle basic edition and update it to more powerful editions of the Oracle Database 10g later when their requirements increase, without any modification.
