Open Text Corporation, an independent provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) software, has announced that its advanced records management solutions have been certified as compliant with U.S. Department of Defense 5015.2-STD. This extends Open Text's existing certification, which includes Chapter 4, Management of Classified Records, and adds support for two additional record management solutions for use with Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003 and SAP solutions. Certified products are Livelink ECM--Records Management, Livelink ECM--Records Management for SAP Solutions, and Livelink ECM--SharePoint Portal Server 2003 Integration.

With Livelink ECM--Records Management as their central content repository, government agencies can use SharePointProducts and Technologies to increase worker collaboration and at the same time incorporate DoD-certified records management into their SAP applications infrastructure. Along with DoD 5015.2 (including Chapter 4)certification, it has been certified under the United Kingdom's TNA regulations and Australia's VERS regulations, designed to ensure the security of documents for companies that work in a global environment.
