Open Text Corporation, an independent provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) software, has announced it has committed to offering Open Text's Artesia Digital Asset Management (DAM) solution for Microsoft SQL Server 2005 database platform to help customers more effectively manage digital assets.

By using SQL Server 2005 with Open Text's Artesia DAM, customers can benefit from a low total cost of ownership, while utilizing DAM technology running on an available and secure database platform. To facilitate deployment of the combined solution, Microsoft has developed the SQL Server Migration Accelerator (SSMA) tool, software that can accelerate the migration of back-end data to the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 platform. The SSMA tool is designed to reduce the cost and time required for analysis, migration, and follow-up testing.

The Open Text Artesia Digital Media Group helps customers address the growing pressures to improve the management of digital media content. Open Text anticipates an accelerated initial rollout of solutions in calendar Q1, 2006.
