Onfolio, Inc., an independent software company committed to helping professionals conduct research and manage Web information, has unveiled Onfolio 2.0. Onfolio 2.0 is a PC solution that's built into the browser with integrated tools for reading RSS news feeds, collecting and organizing online content, and publishing to email, weblogs, and Web sites.
Built for Internet users who conduct research online, Onfolio 2.0 adds an integrated, newspaper-style RSS reader that runs within Microsoft Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox. New in Onfolio 2.0 is the ability to collaborate with teams using shared collections; users can sign up to receive notifications when collections are modified. Other new features in Onfolio 2.0 include: integrated RSS news feed reader; integration with the Mozilla Firefox browser; workgroup collaboration using Onfolio Collections; more flexible publishing options including structured Web reports and blog posting; Web site capture, multi-part article capture, and silent capture; Microsoft Outlook integration for email capture; searching for documents and link targets by content; searching for items by properties, and save searches as folders; and integration with Thomson ResearchSoft's EndNote 8. With Onfolio 2.0, users can also create and monitor Feedster searches directly within Onfolio as part of the overall RSS reading and Web information management capabilities of the product. Feedster, Inc. is an Internet search engine that leverages the adoption of RSS and XML in an effort to provide timely search for Web service developers and consumers.
A pre-release version of Onfolio Professional is available for free download online. Onfolio will be available in April 2005 for purchase in two editions: Onfolio Professional Edition at $99.95 and Onfolio Personal Edition at $29.95. A promotional upgrade rate will be available for Onfolio 1.0 users and Beta testers.
