Bacon's Information, Inc., a provider of media research, distribution, monitoring, and evaluation services for public relations, marketing, and corporate communications professionals, has announced the acquisition of Delahaye Medialink. Bacon's has also announced that it will now monitor online news blogs.
Delahaye Medialink is a public relations-focused media evaluation and consulting services firm with offices in Norwalk (CT), Portsmouth (NH), Washington (DC), and London, United Kingdom. Bacon's Information is a division of Observer AB, a media intelligence services firm, with offices in thirteen countries in North America and Europe. Delahaye will be acquired from its parent Medialink Worldwide Incorporated, a provider of marketing communications services based in New York.
Bacon's has also announced new blog content in MediaSource's Premium Research module and track blog coverage in the Monitoring module to help clients determine the possible impact on business decisions and company reputations. Bacon's will inaugurate its coverage of blogs in January 2005. The identification of the blogs, the messages they contain, and the frequency with which client-relevant information shows up on the blogs will be found in Bacon's MediaSource. This media management system is intended to make information about journalists available online.
