BEST PRACTICES SERIES

NewspaperDirect, a provider of digital delivery and printing solutions for same-day newspapers, has launched a digital newspaper service for academic libraries. Ohio University Libraries is the first academic library system to offer the print version of the service. The University of Missouri School of Journalism is testing the online version of the service. This service is intended to enable libraries at colleges, universities, and other institutions of higher learning to provide students and faculty members with same-day editions of out-of-state and international newspapers. The newspapers are printed locally from a selection of titles, including the Wall Street Journal, The Times of London, Le Monde, Handelsblatt, The Washington Post, El Pais, La Repubblica, The New York Times, Le Figaro, Dagens Nyheter, Sydney Morning Herald, Folha De S. Paulo, Neue Zürcher Zeitung, Yomiuri Shimbun, Al Hayat, and Asharq Al-Awsat.
