NewspaperDirect, a technology company specializing in the global delivery and local printing of same-day editions of newspapers, has expanded its roster of publishing partners. Japan's The Yomiuri Shimbun, a daily newspaper with a circulation of more than ten million, is now available through NewspaperDirect in 66 countries.

This addition to the company's newspaper selection follows recently announced distribution deals with the Tampa Tribune (USA), Arkansas Democrat-Gazette (USA), Guardian (UK), Observer (UK), and Ha'aretz (Israel), bringing the total number of NewspaperDirect newspaper offerings to more than 180. Other newspapers distributed by NewspaperDirect include The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Los Angeles Times, and Chicago Tribune.

NewspaperDirect's titles are delivered outside their original markets and laser-printed in an 11"x17" (A3) format. All of NewspaperDirect offerings are reproductions of the locally printed editions, delivered in a more portable format. The service is currently available through NewspaperDirect's network of partners and licensees, with newspapers delivered to hotel chains, cruise lines, airlines, and retail outlets.
