Thomson Gale, part of The Thomson Corporation, has announced the addition of new content and products. More than 26 published volumes containing nearly 32,000 new/revised biographies have been added to the Biography Resource Center to date this year. Users can now access the following in the Biography Resource Center: More than 280 new entries that have yet to appear in any Thomson Gale print resource; Biographies contained in recent volumes of Thomson Gale's Contemporary Black Biography; Entries contained in recent volumes of Thomson Gale's Contemporary Musicians; and Biographies in recent issues of Newsmakers.
LitFinder, the literature database, is now available from Thomson Gale. International in scope, LitFinder contains primary literature content, including full-text poems, poem citations and excerpts, and full-text short stories, essays, speeches, and plays. LitFinder also includes biographies, work summaries, photographs, and a glossary. A subject navigator provides subject headings, and basic and advanced search modes allow users to search by keyword, author, subject, work title, work date, nationality, gender, timeline, and more.
Additional titles are now available in eBook format through Gale Virtual Reference Library, including: Fashion, Costume, and Culture: Clothing, Headware, Body Decorations, and Footwear through the Ages (UXL, Thomson Gale); Encyclopedia of Aquaculture (John Wiley & Sons, Inc.); and Encyclopedia of Ethical, Legal and Policy Issues in Biotechnology (John Wiley & Sons, Inc.)
