NetManage Announces General Availability of OnWeb 7.2 and Rumba 7.4

NetManage, Inc., a software company that provides solutions for integrating, Web enabling and accessing enterprise information systems, has announced the general availability of OnWeb 7.2 and Rumba 7.4.

This expanded product offering for OnWeb 7.2 extends data access and integration capabilities for enterprise applications including SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle, Siebel, and JD Edwards, through .NET and Java-based connectors. OnWeb is a single solution that is designed to transform host processes, business logic, and data into reusable components, such as Web services, .NET Assemblies, JavaBeans, Enterprise JavaBeans (EJBs), and portlets, which can be integrated with other enterprise applications or be used as components in a new application. OnWeb applications can be presented in a range of formats and accessible from Web browsers, PDAs, and other mobile devices.

Features and capabilities for OnWeb 7.2 include: Enhanced Security-Improved SSL and SSH support, as well as support for Kerberos, providing single sign-on capabilities for IBM iSeries users; Integration-Support for OnWeb connectors, extends data, transactions, and integration capabilities to ERP and CRM systems, databases, middleware as well as Microsoft BizTalk 2004; Manageability-Enhanced monitoring and reporting capabilities, allowing management to stay informed and in control of end user activities; and Platform Support-Enhanced multi-platform capabilities include support for Linux and IBM AIX systems. OnWeb 7.2 is now available directly from NetManage as well as through indirect channels for the Microsoft Windows, Sun Solaris, IBM AIX, and Linux platforms. OnWeb 7.2 pricing starts at $12K for Windows and $15K for UNIX.

NetManage, Inc. has also announced the general availability of RUMBA 7.4 designed for secure, multi-host access for fast, flexible terminal emulation. Added security features provide increased data security to ensure proper user authorization and system access. RUMBA provides a Windows environment to access and use data from a range of host systems, including IBM mainframe, IBM iSeries (AS/400), Hewlett-Packard, UNIX, and VAX. The product also offers Windows-based emulator functionality, including multi-session support, host printer emulation, and a variety of file transfer and host-based graphics options. RUMBA works with an organization's existing host security, network security, firewalls, and virtual private networks (VPNs). Features of RUMBA 7.4 include iSeries Single Sign-On (SSO), High-Powered Security; and Windows 2000 and XP Certified. RUMBA 7.4 is now generally available from NetManage as well as through indirect channels. Pricing starts at $375 per seat, with volume discounts available.
