IBM and North Carolina State University (NC State) have teamed up for a project designed to accelerate the speed with which the inventions of NC State researchers transition from the laboratory to the greater marketplace, spurring economic growth in the process. NC State plans to accomplish this by making use of IBM's advanced analytics technology to more effectively match university research projects with potential investment opportunities.

In addition to NC State, IBM is currently working with more than 250,000 global clients on similar projects that utilize its analytics technology.
