BEST PRACTICES SERIES

MyPermissions, a provider of security tools and services for scanning, monitoring, and controlling how connected applications access personal data online, has announced new versions of its internet data privacy applications on iOSAndroid, and its Chrome web plugin, MyPermissions Cleaner. The redesigned scanning tools now offer 24/7 privacy protection with real-time mobile alerts, and the ability to select, approve or remove multiple applications with a single click.

MyPermissions scans connected application permissions pages across social networks and cloud services. Its mobile, live alerts for Facebook, Google, Twitter, DropBox, and Instagram let consumers know when an application accesses their personally identifiable information, and gives them the choice to allow access to their data, or revoke it.

Recently, MyPermissions  also launched a Trust Certification program for developers, a free, easy way for developers to build trust and transparency with consumers. Its first certified developer partners have seen conversions increase by nearly 8% by displaying the certification badge in the first weeks of certification.
