MuseGlobal, Inc. and Kreutzfeldt Electronic Publishing from Hamburg, Germany have announced "Deutsches eBook-Portal", a Web site that serves as a point of access to more than 2000 ebooks in the German language. Visitors to the portal at www.ebookportal.de can simultaneously search the databases of six ebook shops. To purchase an ebook, the MuseSearch software links the buyer to the corresponding page of the shop selling the title.

Ebooks from amazon.de, ciando.de, dibi.de, franklin.com, mobipocket.com and pdassi.de are now available. More shops will be added shortly, including buch.de and bol.de. In addition to searching in the virtual catalogue, the portal offers showcases with editorial descriptions of individual titles in twelve categories from biographies to dictionaries. There are also service pages where users can download ebook reader software.
