Motive Releases Azure-Compatible Version of M-Files Cloud Vault

May 10, 2011

Motive Systems announced a new version of its M-Files Cloud Vault, a cloud-based document management service, that runs natively on the Windows Azure cloud platform. The Cloud Vault is reportedly the first document managing solution running on Azure, which provides the functionality to build consumer web apps as well as enterprise solutions. The solution on Azure offers users replication and geo-distribution, as well as data and application integration.

Developers can easily create cloud-based apps with Azure using standard tools like Microsoft Visual Studio or the .NET Framework. The M-Files system works like Windows Explorer, so the cloud-based vault is accessed like the My Documents folder. The M-Files Cloud Vault service running on Azure is priced at $39 per month, per user.
