According to research from BabyCenter, LLC, moms are more likely than the general population to own a smartphone, and between 2009 and 2011, the percentage of those who regularly use mobile internet shot up from 22% to 62%, according to eMarketer.
Mobile ad network Greystripe, Inc. reported that in Q1 2011, 23% of moms 25 to 34 years old, 34% of those between 45 and 54, and 26% of those over 55 own a smartphone.
Greystripe also found that over 66% of mothers use their devices in the shopping process. Moms represent an estimated $2.4 trillion in annual buying power, according to BSM Media, Inc.
