Mobius Management Systems, Inc., a provider of integrated solutions for content and records management, has announced the release of version 3.1 of Total Content Integrator (TCI), a web services-based facility that provides access to disparate content repositories, databases, file systems, and email applications. Mobius has published a freely available, web standards-based interface that can be incorporated into virtually any third party or in-house application to enable content search and retrieval across multiple sources. TCI's packaged adapters translate queries, pass them from user to content source and deliver the requested content back to the user. Mobius provides adapters to enterprise content management systems, databases, and applications such as search engines and email systems. Customized adapters can be built using an open-source Adapter Software Development Kit.
TCI comprises five web services: Search, to locate and retrieve content across multiple content repositories, databases, and file systems with a single search request; Authentication, designed to ensure secure access with options for validating a user's credentials; Index Mapping, to relate disparate index names and formats for cross-repository searching; Content Delivery, to present content to users in a web browser, a desktop application, or a native viewing client like Mobius's DocumentDirect for the Internet; and Archive Write, which adds content from applications directly into Mobius's ViewDirect archive, enabling automatic migration from disparate repositories. Total Content Integrator 3.1 is available now. Contact Mobius for pricing information.
