Microsoft Temporarily Stops Publishing New Apps

Aug 15, 2012

Microsoft has stopped publishing new apps for Windows Phone on Marketplace, according to PC World. The issue stems from a problem with digital certificates which have prevented users of phones that upgraded to Windows Phone 7.5 from installing or updating certain apps.

In a company blog, Microsoft said the company is working on a fix for the problem but until the fix is completed, the company will stop publishing new apps. Microsoft did not set a time table for when the problem might be corrected.
