Michael Dunn Named VP of Hearst Interactive Media

Michael Dunn, formerly chief technology officer and executive vice president of Encoda Systems, Inc., has joined Hearst Interactive Media as a vice president. Prior to his role at Encoda Systems, Inc., Dunn served as corporate chief technology officer for Time Warner Inc. While at Time Warner, he held both operational and strategic responsibilities, providing enterprise-wide leadership for technology research and development, architecture, and infrastructure design. Dunn was also the lead technologist for Time Warner Digital Media's Investment Fund, overseeing the technical due diligence of prospective companies. Dunn serves on the advisory boards of the Internet Capital Group, a business-to-business-focused company, and Advisen, an insurance industry information portal. In addition, Dunn is one of the founding members of InfoWorld's CTO Advisory Council. Hearst Interactive Media is a unit of The Hearst Corporation. Its major interests include magazine, newspaper, and business publishing, cable networks, television and radio broadcasting, Internet businesses, television production, newspaper features distribution, and real estate.
