Metanautix Raises $7 Million

Metanautix, a big data startup, came out of stealth to a warm welcome, including $7 million in first-round funding from Sequoia Capital, the Stanford University endowment fund, and former Google VP of engineering Shiva Shivakumar. According to a blog post from Metanautix co-founder and CEO Theo Vassilakis, "Metanautix is about bridging data silos across the enterprise and making the end-to-end process of analysis radically easier and more productive, especially in the face of today's unprecedented complexity and scale."
