Mark Logic Corporation, developer of an enterprise-class database designed for content, has announced the Open Content Architecture (OCA) and new partner network. Using Mark Logic and the solutions provided by its partners, customers have an open, extensible platform on which content-centric applications can be built and deployed. The new partner network includes providers in content conversion, content authoring and real-time collaboration, content enrichment, entity extraction, dynamic taxonomy generation, visualization, and content integration. Together these companies plan to deliver solutions for customers leveraging Mark Logic as an open content database platform.

Founding members in the Partner Network include: Blast Radius, ClearForest Corporation, Composite Software, Exegenix, Groxis, Intellisophic, Inxight, Itemfield, and Olive Software. Under the OCA model, customers construct content applications built on Mark Logic's standards-based content repository with a compatible architecture. Third party solutions that provide specific functionality can be "snapped onto" the content repository as needed.
