and Slate to Offer Extensive War Coverage Free of Charge

Mar 25, 2003

During the war with Iraq, will offer free video coverage, including NBC News, MSNBC cable coverage, and coverage from anchor Dara Brown. Slate has debuted "Live From Baghdad," Nate Thayer's dispatches from Baghdad, which appear on Slate minutes after they're sent from Iraq. These reports will be a regular feature as this conflict develops, unless, as Nate has warned might happen, communications networks are compromised--or the Iraqi government decides to take reporters into "protective custody." In addition to the "Live from Baghdad" reports, Slate is featuring Fred Kaplan's War Stories, Will Saletan on Bush's first strike, and Mickey Kaus on the advisability of an assassination of Saddam Hussein, among other stories.
