MGM Uses Sonic Foundry Software To Centralize Non-Theatrical Assets And Information For Online Client Access

Sonic Foundry Inc., a digital media software solutions company, has announced that MGM's Non-Theatrical Distribution Department is using Sonic Foundry's MediaTaxi application to manage and deliver content on its B2B Web site. Sonic Foundry was contracted for this project by MGM to design and implement a user-administrated and Internet-secure Web site within a three-month timeframe. The unique requirements of the B2B site included offering synopsis, cast and credits, run time, and other essential entertainment-title information to MGM's clients, as well as language availability information, edit commentary, and high-resolution marketing materials for download and use in in-flight magazine promotions. With MediaTaxi as the backbone of its Non-Theatrical Distribution Group's B2B Web site, MGM hopes to offer a secure and user-friendly administrative "back end" that can be easily managed by multiple members of its sales and marketing team. MediaTaxi's navigable and customized "front end" is designed to meet the specific needs of MGM Non-Theatrical program buyers who want worldwide access to data on a 24/7 basis.
