LiveNote, Inc. officially released its Internet Realtime product family, re-branded LiveNote Stream. The enhanced version includes two components, LiveNote Stream Manager 1.0, formerly Onsite Transcript Server (OTS), used by court reporters to send realtime data, and the LiveNote Stream end-user application used by legal professionals to participate in depositions taking place anywhere in the world. The new release allows participants to transmit and receive live audio and video in addition to realtime transcript text and instant messages.
Participants may choose from three types of data broadcasts: Text, Audio, and Video, where the court reporter sends via LiveNote Stream Manager and participants receive via their LiveNote software; Text Only, where the court reporter sends via LiveNote Stream Manager and participants receive via their LiveNote software; and Audio and Video Only, where participants require a broadband Internet connection and Microsoft Internet Explorer to attend. All data is handled by the LiveNote Stream end-user application. The new LiveNote Stream Manager software is free to owners of Onsite Transcript Server (OTS) and current Certified Partners, or it may be licensed by other court-reporting professionals for $399. LiveNote Stream Manager software is installed on a computer with a serial connection to the court reporter’s laptop; it collects text and audio data and transmits it directly to the attorney’s LiveNote software interface. The related LiveNote Stream application provides an interface for viewing the live video simultaneously.
Offered in partnership with Courtroom Connect, LiveNote Stream is available for use with any deposition, conference, or court proceeding worldwide. Litigation teams request LiveNote Stream when they schedule depositions with their court reporting agency or they may contact LiveNote. LiveNote Stream is Engate Compliant and requires no real-time licensing fees.
