LexisNexis U.S., a provider of information and services solutions, has launched Time Matters 8.0 and Billing Matters 8.0, the newest versions of the company's practice management and billing software packages. LexisNexis Time Matters 8.0 integrates with Adobe Acrobat Reader, automatically saves attachments from Outlook emails, and provides for every record type AutoTXT shortcuts. LexisNexis Billing Matters 8.0 ships with full back office accounting features. The new versions are designed to enhance user mobility with new support for Windows Mobile 5.0 and Windows Mobile Smartphone. Time Matters and Billing Matters also support Palm PDA and Blackberry wireless handhelds, featuring the ability to send billing entries from these devices.
Time Matters links directly with recently acquired LexisNexis CaseMap, allowing attorneys to send matters, contacts, research information and more for trial preparation and analysis. Also new to this version, is integration with NetDocuments from LexisNexis, which delivers full document management as an online service. In addition, Time Matters 8.0 links with practice tools, including LexisNexis PCLaw, LexisNexis HotDocs document automation software, Shepard's CheckCite and Shepard's Link brief drafting tools, Microsoft Office applications, WordPerfect, iManage document tools, and WORLDOX and Docs Open (Hummingbird) document management software.
