Laplink Releases Retail Version of Remote Access Software

Laplink has announced the release of the retail version of Laplink Everywhere 4. Laplink Everywhere combines remote control with a Web interface for streamlined remote access from any Web-enabled device.

Users can connect to a remote PC from a wide range of computers and handheld devices. Laplink Everywhere allows the user to access a remote Windows-based PC from Windows, Mac, or Linux-based computers and from Pocket PC, Windows Mobile, Palm, and Symbian-based devices--through firewalls and routers, with no special configuration needed. Laplink Everywhere 4 offers both remote control and a Web interface that provides streamlined access to files, email, calendar, contacts, notes, tasks, and Internet favorites. Laplink Everywhere 4 is now available from stores such as CompUSA, Fry's, and Micro Center as well as from online retailers. Suggested retail price is $49.95 with a $20 manufacturer rebate for prior Laplink or existing GoToMyPC customers. Street price (before rebate) is anticipated to be under $40. A free 15-day trial of Laplink Everywhere 4 is also available.
