LYRASIS expanded its Mass Digitization Collaborative by partnering with Digital Conversion Solutions (DCS), a division of the HF Group, and by furthering its existing partnership with Creekside Digital. The Mass Digitization Collaborative allows LYRASIS member libraries to digitize books, serials, and newspapers for a low fee, and the expansion is opening the offering to other formats.

The partnership with DCS enables digitization of archival materials. Creekside Digital, which specializes in document and microfilm digitization, will offer preservation-quality microfiche scanning services. Not all of the new services will be eligible for Alfred P. Sloan Foundation grant-subsidized pricing, as previous service offerings were.
