Amazon Publishing announced that Kindle Worlds has reached licensing agreements to open up seven new Worlds, including ones based on Hasbro's G.I. JOE brand, and Warner Bros. TV shows Veronica Mars and Ravenswood. Writers can now choose from more than 20 Worlds to write and sell their own original fiction inspired by popular characters and storylines.
These Worlds will open for writers to start publishing stories in the next few months. The new licensing agreement comes at a historic time for the G.I. JOE brand, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2014. With the launch of the G.I. JOE World, writers will be able to publish their own original fiction starring iconic G.I. JOE characters like DUKE, SNAKE EYES, and COBRA COMMANDER, and sell their work on Amazon.com.
