Amazon announced the Kindle Touch 3G is now available for pre-order from www.amazon.com to customers in over 175 countries and territories around the world.

In an agreement with J.K. Rowling's website and ebookstore Pottermore, English-language versions of all seven Harry Potter books are available worldwide to read on all Kindle devices and any of the free Kindle apps. Foreign-language versions of the books will be available for customers through Kindle Stores worldwide in the coming weeks.

Kindle Touch 3G will ship to customers beginning April 27, Amazon said in a statement. Kindle Touch and Kindle Touch 3G are also available for pre-order from Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de, Amazon.fr, Amazon.es and Amazon.it.

In addition to being smaller and lighter, Kindle Touch 3G includes free 3G wireless -- no annual contracts or monthly fees. The new e-reader features EasyReach, so users can tap to turn pages instead of swipe. Kindle Touch 3G also includes X-Ray: Users can tap to see all the passages across a book that mention ideas, fictional characters, historical figures, places or topics of interest, as well as more detailed descriptions from Wikipedia and Shelfari.

Kindle Touch 3G is available in seven languages: German, French, Italian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and American and British English. Kindle Touch 3G's battery will last up to two months on a single charge with wireless off and half hour of reading per day.
