Kindle Fire, Touch, and Touch 3G Ship Ahead of Schedule

Amazon.com has begun shipping the Kindle Fire today, one day before its scheduled shipping date. The Kindle Touch and Touch 3G e-readers will start shipping tomorrow, Nov. 15, six days ahead of schedule.

The Kindle Fire offers more than 18 million movies, TV shows, publications, songs, apps, and games. Users can store Amazon digital content in the Amazon Cloud for free. The Kindle Fire also offers Whispersync for books and movies.

The Kindle Touch 3G offers the same design and features of the Kindle Touch with the addition of free 3G wireless. Both devices can store up to 3,000 books and reportedly last for up to two months on a single charge. The Kindle Touch and Touch 3G also include X-ray, a new feature that lets users see all passages that mention ideas, characters, historical figures, places, or topics that interest them.
