KOM Networks, a provider of storage management software solutions and Hyland Software, developer of OnBase enterprise content management (ECM) software, have announced a product integration between Hyland's OnBase and KOM Networks' KOMworx (e-WORM) Hard Disk Archiving technology. The combined solution will allow organizations to securely retain files on high performance resources, enabling compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate governance guidelines while restricting access to the archive repository to any unauthorized third party.
KOMworx e-WORM solution can transform standard disk-based hardware into non-re-writeable, non-erasable WORM storage media that can satisfy both best practices and government regulations in achieving compliance. KOM Networks developed the e-WORM solution based on a patented technology, which transparently archives files to High Performance RAID arrays and other hard disks for long-term data retention. With e-WORM, customers can leverage their existing hardware of choice to archive their data and protect it from being altered or deleted during the storage retention period. The new support will allow customers to connect the appliance to the network and target it directly from the OnBase content management solution for deployment and manageability.
