Jinfonet and Composite Software Partner for New Solution

Mar 21, 2006

Jinfonet Software, a provider of embeddable reporting solutions for enterprise applications and maker of JReport embedded reporting solution for Java applications, and Composite Software, a provider of on-demand data integration, have announced that the companies have partnered to offer a new joint solution: JReport OnDemand Integration. The companies will co-market and co-sell the new reporting solution with information integration capabilities.

JReport OnDemand Integration allows reports to be created based on information distributed throughout an organization. Composite's software pulls information from traditional data sources such as databases and packaged applications, and from other structured and semi-structured data sources including XML, Excel spreadsheets, flat files, and Web services. Composite's offering creates a unified abstraction layer for data across a company, allowing the data to be correlated regardless of which application it comes from. It presents "live" data from different sources as if the data exists in a single place. Enterprise information integration (EII) appears as a virtual database-- generating queries to multiple sources behind the scenes and combining information appropriately as it is returned. Customers can create reports based on information that spans multiple applications and sources. Because JReport and Composite's flagship product, Composite Integration Server (CIS), are both 100 percent Java based, they can be embedded directly into any application or Java environment, thus becoming a native part of the offering.

Jinfonet OnDemand Integration will provide reporting results and access to aggregated data. Information is presented in full-featured reports that display the data in customizable reports and charts. Product users can control, customize, and navigate report views. Through ad-hoc and interactive reporting, they can investigate real-time actionable information. Jinfonet OnDemand Integration is generally available.
