J-Stream, Onkyo Co-Launch Joint Venture

J-Stream and Onkyo have announced that they have reached an agreement to establish a joint venture for Internet content service in September. To be capitalized at 90 million yen ($817,000), CO3 will be owned 55.6% by J-Stream and 44.4% by Onkyo. The new venture will start operation in October. The venture is designed to provide payment and property right protection solutions for digital content that is distributed on the Internet.
