Infotrieve has signed article distribution agreements with the publishers of six professional journals in the biomedical field. The new agreements increase the total number of journals from which articles may be searched and ordered electronically for e-delivery to more than 4,600. Infotrieve also said that the total number of individual articles, book chapters, and conference proceedings that it offers for e-delivery now is more than more than 2.8 million, a content pool of professional and peer-reviewed literature that continues to grow as the company strikes alliances with additional publishers and other information providers. Infotrieve is a provider of professional journal article distribution services on an on-demand basis, and a provider of Web-enabled virtual library platforms and outsourced information services to corporate and institutional customers. The six publishes now making their articles available for distribution through Infotrieve are: American College of Physicians (ACP), a medical specialty society in the U.S. with a membership of some 115,000 physicians.
