Dec 12, 2003

Inetcam, Inc., a provider of streaming media software platforms, has announced the iMIRROR Server. The iMIRROR Server is designed to provide enterprises with a platform for multi-casting of video and audio streams to hundreds of users simultaneously. Working in conjunction with Inetcam's flagship iVISTA operating software, which transmits compressed video and audio streams via the Internet or Intranet, iMIRROR is intended to provide efficient bandwidth usage for applications including elearning, corporate training, Web conferencing, live event broadcasting, and wireless Web. Some key features of the iMIRROR Server include: video proxy server with audio; Java-enabled Web browser; efficient use of existing bandwidth; scheduling feature of input sources; and persistent connections, adding stability and reliability to connections on both output and input feeds.

The iMIRROR Server application enables users to webcast multimedia streams to broad, geographically dispersed audiences. A dedicated iMIRROR server computes streams generated from the iVISTA software and re-transmits them live. Some customer applications of iMIRROR include: Internet delivery of corporate and political speeches; parental viewing of children in daycare facilities; remote video- and audio-based technical support that assists consumers without the overhead of on-site service; and sales presentations to customers with headquarters all over the world. Both iMIRROR and iVISTA are available through Inetcam resellers worldwide. iVISTAT is offered in Personal, Professional, and Enterprise editions.
