Plateau Systems, a provider of enterprise software that manages learning and knowledge readiness, has announced that Idaho Power, a subsidiary of IDACORP, Inc., an energy and technology holding company, has selected Plateau 4 Learning Management System (LMS) to manage all of its Web-based and classroom learning for employees in 17 power plants and 80 franchise cities. Plateau 4 LMS will replace the existing learning management system in use at Idaho Power. Idaho Power selected Plateau as part of an overall strategy to streamline regulatory compliance and foster professional development in order to maintain a high level of customer service. Plateau's software will enable the electric utility to streamline the assignment, tracking, and deployment of classroom and online learning. Employee learning at Idaho Power is delivered in a variety of methods, including online and traditional classroom-based training. Courses include progressive career studies, apprenticeship programs, safety courses mandated by regulatory agencies and human resources classes such as sexual harassment prevention.
