Information Today, Inc. (ITI) has released the January 2004 edition of Fulltext Sources Online (FSO), a directory of periodicals accessible online in full text through more than 25 aggregators. FSO, which is published twice a year in January and July, lists more than 21,000 titles organized alphabetically by publication title. Each entry lists the aggregator and its databases containing the publication online in full text, as well as dates of coverage. Separate indexes for subject, language, and location searches are also included. Dialog, Factiva, LexisNexis, and WestLaw are just a few of the many aggregator products included in FSO. Joining FSO for the first time are HeinOnline, a legal periodicals aggregator, and Telecom21, a product by Nikkei for academic and institutional subscribers. Subscribers to FSO also receive access to the "Private Zone," a hyperlinked list of those publications with free archives that are available on the Internet. FSO is also available online and for license electronically. Updated weekly, FSO Online contains the same information found in the print version while providing the ease of hyperlinked URLs and the option to limit your searches by location, language or aggregator. The electronic version, FSO/e, is offered as a single-user or site license to organizations. With FSO/e, subscribers receive quarterly updates via an e-mail file that can be imported into any network system. The Fulltext Sources Online print version is published by Information Today, Inc. and can be purchased for $136.50 per issue (plus shipping). A one-year subscription (two issues) is available for $219.50, as well as a combined print and FSO Online subscription for $299.
