INSCI Corp., a provider of enterprise content management (ECM) solutions, has announced the debut of its WebWare TransMedia Express service, an outsourced service enabling Adobe InDesign desktop publishing software users to automate the conversion of QuarkXpress documents into Adobe InDesign files. The service is designed to enable customers who had standardized on QuarkXpress for their print-based designs to upgrade to Adobe's InDesign software, which offers interconnectivity with other Adobe and design applications. ActiveMedia 5.0 automates the process and provides a conversion to the new format while maintaining the integrity of the layout, links, and linked files. Customers will be billed based on a per-month subscription fee and per-megabyte file processing. The service is available as an option to current users of WebWare ActiveMedia software and Outsourced Service customers. It will also be provided on a standalone basis to creative agencies and marketing organizations through certified ActiveMedia resellers.
