IBM Integrates Analytics to New Social Offerings

IBM Corp. released a suite of new software and services, including cloud offerings and the beta release of its social networking platform, IBM Connections. IBM's new products incorporate analytics capabilities, real-time data monitoring, and collaborative networks that function both inside and outside customers' organizations through IBM's SmartCloud services.

IBM's social analytics software pulls from wikis, blogs, activity streams, email, calendars, and more, and flags relevant data for action; it also integrates social networking capabilities with enterprise content management to better connect people with information.

The new IBM SmartCloud for Social Business streamlines file sharing, social networking, communities, online meetings, instant messaging, email, and user calendars. SmartCloud, available with a free 60-day trial, also offers a cloud-based suite that enables users to collaborate on shared documents.
