IBM Expands Support for Collaborative Software; New Messaging Software

IBM has announced that it has expanded Linux support across its collaborative software portfolio with new IBM Workplace offerings. This new Linux support is part of IBM's planned $100 million investment to Workplace software for the Linux platform. Also, IBM has introduced a new browser-based messaging software with support for the Firefox 1.0.X browser, and new software that will integrate Lotus Notes access into IBM Workplace Managed Client. Additionally, an IBM Business Partner, Ericom, has announced a new Linux-based plug-in for IBM Workplace Managed Client. These new solutions run on many computing platforms, including Linux, and provide additional choices for customers looking for a client-side Linux solution.
