IBM Acquires Unica Corporation

IBM announced the closing of its acquisition of Unica Corporation, acquiring enterprise and cloud-based marketing software solutions that help businesses streamline marketing processes. According to the company, Unica has helped more than 1,500 organizations around the world analyze customer preferences and trends, predict customer buying needs, and execute cross-channel marketing campaigns. Unica's clients include Best Buy, eBay, ING, InterContinental Hotels Group, Monster, and US Cellular.

As part of the acquisition, approximately 500 Unica employees will join IBM's Software Solutions Group.
