HighWire Survey: Clients Value Simplicity

Mar 09, 2010

While ebook publishers continue to focus on the latest bells and whistles, librarians are looking for simplicity and ease of use, according to a survey by HighWire Press, a division of the Stanford University Libraries. The survey polled 138 librarians in 13 countries in fall 2009. In addition to preferring simpler ebooks, respondents favored ebooks that were relatively free of digital rights management restrictions and could be purchased once for perpetual use.
